Intersectionality is really important to my work and how I strive to show up as a therapist. I seek to understand the ways in which you have been taught that you are the problem, that you are responsible for “pulling yourself up by your bootstraps” and “trying harder”. I want to work with you to explore the systems, identities and experiences that brought you to where you are now. I believe that you are the expert on you, and I want to support you in learning that you can trust yourself and your body, helping you in drawing gentle awareness to patterns you have created to protect yourself and survive. I see therapy as an invitation to intentionally create space as we learn how to listen to and honor your body and all of the wisdom it has to offer us in healing.
I am always learning, and I welcome your thoughts, feelings, fears and experiences. I hope to provide a space where you can learn more about yourself, offer validation around past and ongoing experiences, and experience safety, presence, and care that we all need to heal.
In addition to being a therapist, I love to collect books to add to my never ending TBR list and writing on Substack. I also enjoy making sourdough and being a plant parent!
Clinical Experience
Prior to joining All Parts Therapy, I primarily worked in various group practices supporting clients around sexuality, gender identity, OCD, eating disorders, and religious trauma. I am also passionate about providing training and consultation to fellow providers, especially around the topics of neurodiversity affirming and anti-oppressive, trauma-informed care.
Specialties
I really enjoy working with fellow queer, trans, and polyamorous humans. I do my best supporting folks with complex trauma (including attachment and/or religious trauma), OCD, autism and ADHD, and children of immigrants. I also like working with fellow chronically ill and disabled humans.
