Kathryn Archer (she/her)
LPC-MSHP(t), M.S.
I am passionate about creating a safe and collaborative counseling environment where individuals and couples can feel seen, heard, and empowered. I primarily approach counseling through the lens of Internal Family Systems (IFS), helping clients better understand the parts of themselves with beliefs, thoughts, or behaviors that keep them from connecting to their true self and those around them. I often incorporate interventions that help people and couples gain healing from trauma and extreme thoughts, beliefs, feelings, and behaviors.
I approach each client with humility and curiosity, creating a non-judgmental environment where people feel empowered to continue on their path toward healing and wholeness. I take into account the unique experiences, identities, and perspectives of each person throughout the counseling process. I am Level 1 IFS trained and have completed Level 1 Gottman training, a research-based approach that helps couples improve communication, connection, and intimacy.
Outside of being a therapist, I enjoy spending time in my garden and hanging out with my two kids, my partner, and our pups. I also love biking, hiking, and baking bread (I know, I know… but I started before the pandemic!). Before this career, I worked in various early and mid-stage startups and owned and operated my own bagel business. I told you I started baking before the pandemic!
CLINICAL EXPERIENCE
Before All Parts Therapy Group, I supported adolescents, adults, and couples with a wide-range of presenting mental health and relationship concerns in in-patient and private practice settings including Mindful Nashville and ARCH Academy (Adolescent Recovery of Cumberland Heights).
SPECIALTIES
While I enjoy working with individuals and couples from all walks of life, I specialize in childhood trauma, men’s issues, spiritual and religious trauma, substance abuse, relationship/couples therapy issues, and life transitions. I primarily work with couples, adolescents, and adults.
