Eden Lathem (she/her)
MMFT, M.S.
My goal as your therapist is to create a space where you feel safe enough to be fully seen and supported enough to grow. I specialize in working with individuals navigating complex trauma, religious deconstruction, identity development, and body image concerns. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling disconnected: from themselves, their stories, or their sense of belonging. Whether you’re processing the impact of the past, questioning old belief systems, or rebuilding after rupture, I walk alongside you with curiosity, care, and a deep respect for your resilience.
I am particularly passionate about supporting individuals who have experienced systemic injustice, including those impacted by the legal system, foster care, or institutional harm. I believe healing is not just personal; it is deeply shaped by community, culture, and systems. My work is grounded in an understanding of intergenerational trauma and the principles of restorative justice. In therapy, we may explore not only what has happened to you, but also what has been inherited, interrupted, or lost, and how healing can ripple outward beyond the self.
My approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and relational. I integrate Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Solution-Focused Therapy to help clients access their inner wisdom, challenge limiting narratives, and move toward the life they want to live.
CLINICAL EXPERIENCE
Before joining private practice, I worked with individuals, couples, and families in community agencies and training settings, focusing on trauma recovery, identity exploration, and spiritual reintegration. I’ve worked with clients navigating a wide range of experiences, including relational trauma, systemic oppression, and reclaiming autonomy after institutional or interpersonal harm.

ABOUT ME
Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy quiet mornings, sunny weather, long hikes, trying Nashville’s coffee shops, and getting lost in a good story, whether it’s a novel, a memoir, or a podcast full of human complexity. I love spending time outside and taking my chiweenie, Evie, on walks around the neighborhood.
